Celebrate this Free Fourth of July Firework Show at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater

Celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary at Celebration on the River at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater on Saturday, July 4, from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Presented by the City of Tuscaloosa, this free, family-friendly event will feature fireworks, a FREE kid’s zone, live music by the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and patriotic fun for all ages.

What time are the fireworks?

Fireworks will begin at 9:00pm after brief remarks from Mayor Walt Maddox.

Can the fireworks be seen from any other locations?

Though it may be possible to view the fireworks from other locations, your best bet for a clear view is to join us in the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.

Does it cost money to attend?

This event is free and open to the public.

What time do the activities start?

Kids Zone in West and East Plazas (featuring face painting and inflatable games): 6:00pm-8:00pm
DJ Tank performance: 6:00pm-7:55pm
Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra performance: 7:55pm – end of firework show

Where should we park and where are shuttles?

Attendees are encouraged to park in the free Downtown Intermodal Facility and take a free shuttle or walk to the Amphitheater. Handicap parking will be available in the Amphitheater box office parking lot.
The Box Office parking lot will open at 3:00pm. Limited ADA parking is available in the Box Office parking lot. A state-issued ADA parking credential is required.
Shuttles run from 5:30pm-10:00pm.
Trestle Lot Closed Due to Construction – Phase III of the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard/Jack Warner Parkway Improvements Project, which will upgrade and expand the span of the railroad bridge to improve vehicle traffic beneath the rail line crossings of Jack Warner Parkway, starts June 1. For the duration of the project, Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater parking in the trestle lot will not be available. We are excited for the completion of the final phase of this project, which will substantially enhance the connectivity of West Tuscaloosa, the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater, the River District, downtown, and the Riverwalk.
