The Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater sits beautifully on 15 acres amidst the banks of the Black Warrior River. The Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater is the largest outdoor theater in West Alabama. In addition to its exciting concert series, the amphitheater also hosts the annual Celebration on the River, a free July 4th celebration featuring the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to hosting hundreds of events every year, the Tuscaloosa River Market is home to the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market, recently voted the best Farmers Market in Alabama by America’s Farmers Market. Patrons can visit the Farmers Market every Saturday from 7 a.m. – noon for fresh, locally grown produce, grass-fed meats, unique artisan crafts and more.

The Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center

The Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center offers access to high-speed internet, laptops, iPads and Samsung tablets to the community at no cost. The center features open meetings and workspaces that can be used for collaborative projects, concentrated problem-solving sessions, seminars and presentations. In addition to providing open collaborative workspaces, the center features a training room that can be reserved for meetings, workshops, off-site team-building activities and any other technology-centered group meeting for up to 30 people.

Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum

Located at Tuscaloosa’s historic Queen City Park along the Black Warrior River, the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum advances knowledge and appreciation of Tuscaloosa’s local and regional history and natural resources through exhibits, museum educational programs, and educational outreach efforts.
